Organizational Guide for Summer Camp Packing
School is out for summer! Are you preparing your children for summer camp? Packing for overnight camp can seem overwhelming managing all the details, to make the process easier, here is my organizational guide for summer camp packing.
Label Everything
Keep your labeling simple by using iron on labels or self adhesive personalized clothing labels. Both options are available on Amazon. I have discovered that these simple solutions reduce the time it takes to label personal items. I remember when my mom would have to hand sew cotton labels when packing me for summer camp at Chimney Corners Camp
Personalize It
To eliminate towel confusion, order personalized beach towels. These colorful towels from Pottery Barn Teen standout from the crowd, allowing Brooke to identify her towels quickly without hassle. Colorful and custom towels prevent mix ups not only at camp, but all summer long whether you’re at the cabin, lake, or pool. Personalizing it means no more trips to the Lost + Found.
Bag It
To bring a sense of order and maintain efficiency, my tidy tip is to pack daily outfits in storage bags. Each bag is labeled by day and includes clothes, socks, and undergarments. I love these 30-Count Quart Storage Bags from Up & Up purchased at Target. I turn to my favorite label maker, the P-touch CUBE Plus label maker, and place these labels on the storage bags.
Tidy
My camper is happy when I use Tidy Snaps to keep her trunk neat and tidy, preventing the frustration of not being able to find items.
Extra, Extra
Storage bags and Tidy Snaps are the essential tools I use to achieve stress-free packing. These tools help me to achieve an organized trunk which creates extra space. The golden rule to summer camp packing is to include extra socks, undergarments, layers, and outfits. Tightly packed items use less trunk space offering more room for additional items.
Hello Mother, Hello Father
Don’t forget to write! Happiness is receiving a handwritten note from my camper. I love these personalized note cards from Pretty Paper Club.
Check The List, Check It Twice
Make sure to check your list twice. I’m sorry Cricket, you are on the Do Not Pack List.
I hope my organizational guide for summer camp packing offers you simple solutions to bring order while preparing for all your summer travels. Happy trails to you and your campers this summer!
