Tips For an Organized Shopping Experience
Happy New Year! Have you resolved to become more organized and efficient this year? I plan to start 2018 with inspiring ideas to help you achieve your goals to become organized in house, home, and heart. Let’s celebrate 2018 with some simple tips for an organized and efficient shopping experience.
My first suggestion is to identify you nearest Farmers Market. Farmers’ Markets are a great solution to inspire healthy and creative menu options.
I plan ahead by confirming the hours of operation for my local Farmers Markets. My neighborhood Farmers Market is, UptownmarketAZ located at 5757 N. Central Avenue / Southeast corner of Bethany Home and Central Avenue.
The hours for the Uptown Farmers Market:
• Saturday mornings, year-round
◦ 8 a.m. – 12 noon (May – Oct.)
◦ 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. (Nov. – April)
◦ Market moves Indoors for June/July/August
• Wednesday mornings
◦ 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. (Oct. – April)
◦ 8 a.m. – 12 noon. (May – June)
◦ Wednesday Market closes July – September
Once I learn the schedule, I mark my shopping date in my calendar. If you commit to your shopping appointment you will make it happen.
The benefit of using an app is that I always have the list with me allowing me to add or edit my list. In addition, the Reminder list provides the ability to check completed tasks. So once I purchase the arugula I can mark it as completed. That simple act provides me with a level of accomplishment, one item off my list.
There are countless benefits to shopping at the your local farmers market. Fresh and organic ingredients, supporting local small businesses and the opportunity to try new foods. A visit to the Farmers Market becomes a Saturday family tradition. We typically visit the Uptown Farmers Market after soccer games.
Keep a designated shopping bag in the trunk of your car to ensure you have a large bag for your visit. I am loyal to my monogrammed LL Bean Boat Tote, Boat and Tote, Open-Top • L.L. Bean • $24.95–39.95
